Fatal Error - Acad Mech 2008

In AutoCAD Mechanical 2008, When trying to run the Plot command from the File menu, the following error message appears, and the application closes immediately.

"Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Writing 0x78003c Exception at 6268587fh"

Can anyone help me out?

Regards.

Vijay.

Hi Vijay,

When this happens are you presented with a crash error report dialog? If
so, give me the email address that you entered into the report and I'll
search for it to see if there's anything obviously wrong.

Hi Mike,

No. I'm not getting the crash error report. After I click "OK" in the "Fatal Error" message box, the program closes automatically. (I've installed Inventor Professional 2008).

Regards.

Vijay.

Hi Vijay,

Do you get the same crash if you invoke the command by typing PLOT at the
command line?

Have you tried doing a Repair Installation?

Have you gone to Autodesk's update site

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/index?siteID=123112&id=2334435&linkID=9240898

and installed the Hotfix for resolving fatal errors. That just might take care of everything.

Regards,
Mark

Did 2008 mechanical sp1 take care of this hot fix or does a guy still need to run the hot fix? Thanks.

You must have update this to the sp1. I tried to run the hot fix & it would not install because I had sp1.
