EDIT/FIND USE IN MECHANICAL

We would like to use EDIT/FIND in Mechanical 2010 (or any other version) to search drawings for specific text that may be found in balloons and/or parts lists.  EDIT/FIND works fine in test, mtext and block attributes but falls short in searching mechanical components.

Or......are we missing a flavor switch somewhere?

Regards,

Mark

Find is an autocad command and will search in autocad core text features such as block attibute value, dimension or leader text, single line or multiline text, table text, hyperlink description, and hyperlink.  It will not search anything made in a mechanical command.

Thanks, but we already figured that out. So, in all fairness to the Mechanical users why not make an effort to correct this. It would be nice if we could use "FIND" to search our BOM's and search for components.

Thank you for your suggestion.

I have logged it in our tracking system as a WISH item.

Thanks.

No, sorry, I've heard nothing else from Autodesk on the subject.
