DIMENSION TEXT WON'T STAY CENTERED AFTER ADDING TEXT TO IT IN AUTOCAD

SEE ATTACHED. HOW IN GOD' S NAME DO YOU MAKE THE DEFAULT SO THAT DIMENSION TEXT WILL ALWAYS BE CENTERED BETWEEN EXTENSION LINES WHEN YOU ADD ANOTHER LINE OF TEXT BELOW THE DIMTEXT. EVERYTIME THE WORD "REF" WHEN I ADD IS EITHER TOUCHING A DIM LINE OR AND EXTENSION LINE. AND IN DIMSTYLE SETTINGS THE TEXT PLACEMENTS ARE INDEED SET AT CENTERED BOTHER HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL. ANY IDEA WHAT SETTING TO MAKE THIS A DEFAULT SO THAT WHEN I DO ADD A LINE OF TEXT UNDER THE DIM TEXT, THAT THE WHOLE MULTILINE OF TEXT WILL STAY CENTERED BEWTEEN DIMENSION LINES??? THANKS,

How are you editing the text? Through the text editor? Because I cannot duplicate your problem. After I close the text editor, the text is centered.
