custom amtitle

questions about formating the AM title block.
How do I set the date to format as such: DDMMYYYY
How do trim a File name returned with the GEN-TITLE-DWG{10.58} attribute?
My File names are as such: 45612G6-2
Where 45612 is the project number
G6 is the series number
and -2 refers to Revision 2
Currently all i can get is 45612G6-2 from the GEN attribute.
Which will not work because we call our revisions and series out in another part of the Titleblock.
Is there a way to shorten the string for the Filename like we can with diesel?

What about using Fields, can I trim the returned string using Fields?

Thanks for any feedback.

I've switched my whole title block to use fields. Just seems easier to
manage and update. There's a place in fields under "Other" that you can use
diesel strings. You can use your old diesel with the trimmed file name
there.
