Changing mechanical layer to acad layer?

When I create a layer it is an autocad mechanical layer, we are using autocad mechanical. How do I change it to autocad layer, I tried renaming, does not work?

Within AutoCAD Mechanical you will create Mechanical layers, which will behave as such... when you open the same file in AutoCAD those will behave as AutoCAD layers.

So in each program, they work as they should - what do you want to achieve by changing them?

I need to one on the top of the picture look like the one on the bottom.
