Change standard part dawing (e.g. angle)

Good Day people,

I'm just new to ACADM 2005, i've been working with ACAD for 4 years just shifted recently to ACADM. almost two weeks studying the manual/tutorial almost read upto end.. how can i change a standard part drawing let say 45 deg from an end of an angle or an i-beam... in a drawing not changing the whole standard from steel shapes.. without using xplode command... pls help me!!!
