Hi Everyone,
I have a strange issue with one brand new PC. AutoCAD Mechanical 2014's toolbar buttons do not recognize they are being clicked.
Ex: My end user will click the circle tool, but nothing happens. If the end user hits the hot key for the circle tool, it works fine.
The only way I have been able to get the toolbar buttons to work, is to reset AutoCAD settings to default. It will work until the application is closed and reopened... then it breaks again.
I found that it is not only the drawing buttons, but also the file menu buttons.
I wanted to post in the forum before calling support, in case someone else has run into this problem.
Thanks!
Adam

Hello Adam,
As you said that "to reset AutoCAD settings to default. It will work until the application is closed and reopened... then it breaks again." , I suspect that there is process to change the default setting when you reopen the process.
There are two fields need you check:
1, does your system ghosted? If yes, is ther any setting to returen to archieve?
2, Is there a anti-virus software runs on your computer? If yes, could you turn it off and check the issue still exist or not.

The PC was not imaged and the user has local admin rights (not sure what you mean by ghosted).
The machine is using GFI Vipre Business (Used to be Sunbelt). I've disabled it and tested, same outcome.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled The AutoDesk suite with the same outcome. I'm going to rebuild the computer and see if it resolves the issue. I'm thinking something may have gotten corrupted during the initial setup of the PC.
So...
After rebuilding the laptop and having the same issue, I figured out what the problem was.
The NVidia 320.00 driver was the cause. We have a K1000M Quadro video card, and the 320.00 driver was the latest version.
When I uninstalled the driver and installed version 307.45 (from Dell's support site) the issue was resolved.
Just a heads up to anyone experiencing this issue.
Adam
