Autocad inserting all blocks at 0,0 without asking

Has anyone else run into this issue? I have Mechanical 2012. The last couple of days, when I insert a block, it's inserted at 0,0, instead of allowing me to choose where I want it. This is for all drawings. Also, some blocks that had been stored in a separate section have now been added as choices in a drawing that's never had those blocks previously. thanks for any help.

What are your cmddia and filedia settings?

Do you have the box checked for you to pick on screen where the block is placed?
