Annotating Structural Models

We are trying to move towards annotating the models for producing construction drawings, rather than doing 2D Representations using CADWorx.  I am not familiar with all the tools that may be available for things like setting clipping planes and filtering layers and objects.

Is there a good source of information available for someone trying to figure this out?  We are still on AutoCad 2010 and CADWorx 2010.

Any help is appreciated.  We do Offshore Structures for Oil facilities.
