All Drawing Geometry Disappeared

Mechanical 2012 OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600 OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard System Model HP Z400 Workstation System Type X86-based PC Processor x86 Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5 GenuineIntel ~2666 Mhz This one is hardly worth metioning because it is only an annoyance issue but we all notice when we have several drawing open if you are working on one and file it and then close it the next drawing displays on the screen completely blank. (Rather shocking at first) We simply "regen all" to get it back. I don't know if this is a bug or not. We made sure our graphics card (NIVIDIA Quadro 2000) has the latest drivers and have no display problems with any other programs. Regards, Mark

Hello Mark,

What does the "blank screen" look like? Is this issue drawing specific? Have you tried it on a different machine which has a different OS?

Thanks.

Go to model space, move all geometry off the screen, that's what the blank screen looks like.

This is not drawing specific, it is EVERY drawing.

Entire company still on Windows XP.  So, no,  didn't try it on another OS.  Mechanical 2010 ran just fine and didn't have a the bugs that 2012 has.

Regards,

Mark Kenyon
