2007 structures

How do you insert custom structures into drawing. I used 2004 for years and through the designcenter you could go down the tree until you get to the structure, then insert. 2007 designcenter doesn't have the structure option. Is there another place to get these without placing it as an exref through the structure catalog? Also if I do insert as exref, the structure is individual entities and not a unit like a block. Did AutoCAD change this? My structures are part of an assembly and are very hard to work with individual entities which overlap with other structures. Could someone please help in this area?

I don't know if i understand you correctly. Structure support in Design
Center has been removed since AcadM 2005. Now you can do the same thing
through structure catalog (amscatalog command). The default behavior is to
inert a folder/view as xref; However, if you hold on CTRL key while you drag
& drop a folder/view to the host drawing, a local copy will be created.
