Xref Edit

Hi,

When I try to edit a particular Xref in a drawing, I get a message saying:-

Selected Xref Block is NOT editable.

Is there a setting somewhere that controls this?

Cheers

Could be the xref file is set as read only.

Thanks for your reply Murph.

The Xref file is not read only, so that is not the problem.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm having the same problem. I find that an xref in paper space is editable, however one in model space is not.

What command are you using to edit it and what version?

I am using 2013-LT. I have tried double clicking the image, and have also
tried using the edit tool. No luck.

Image as in a jpg or bmp? or is it a dwg that is xreferenced into your dwg? Is the one in modle space the same as the one in paper space?

It's a dwg xref'd into model space and viewed through a viewport in paper
space. I've tried editing through the vport and, changing to model space
and editing. No luck.

Is the layer for the xref lock in the viewport?
