World Projections in Map 2000i

In version 14 of Autocad Map (2.0 I guess) I created my own projections for
my drawings, and it was accurate, now with version 200i, there is a whole
bunch of predefined categories, projections...

The projections they call Québec zone 8 I don't know what were their
references when they created this projection, because it's all wrong...

First in Quebec MTM (Modified Mercator) we never use Feet, and the scale
reduction is 0.9999 not 1.

And it's description is Ontario East of 75d West, well the Ontario boundary
is at 80dW!!!!

Normally the zone 8 is from 72-75dW...

Hi Yves,

I'm looking at Map 5, so there may be a slight difference, but they should
be close.

The Scale Factor on my computer, and in the source data for the coordinate
systems is definitely 0.9999. I wonder if there is some rounding going on in
your installation.

There are two definitions that I have for MTM, one is International Foot,
which may well be wrong, the other is for Metre.

The Zone 8 I am looking at does indeed go from 75-72d W.

Given your other email, I'm wondering if the coordinate system definitions
have been corrupted in some way for Map.

Cheers,
David Walsh
