Which table is attached ?

Hi all,

I am having some 10 entities and 4 object data tables.

These 10 entities are attached different tables. How to Find

out the attached table name in each entity?

Any Help by using VBA?

If you pick the obect and open Properties there is a section for OD: and the name of the table.

Is this what you need?

AutoCAD MAP. I am working with AutoCADMAP 2000i.

Ah yes. I am in Map 2006. In 2000i you will need to go to:

Map menu>> Object Data>> Edit Object Data...

Then select the object you want to see object data for

This will bring up a screen with the table name and all of the data, and it is editable so be careful.

I know this manual method very well. By using VBA how to

find which table is attached to which entity? Simply saying i

will clcik the entity it should show the attached table name.

That's all.

Look at at the MapSample.dvb which comes with Map - there's sample code in there that will return OD info for an entity.

By using mapsample also i am not getting the satisfaction.

There also i need to select the correct tablename from the

combo box and i need to click the correct entity.

But Here i will just click one entity. It should show the

attached table. just one message box is enough.

For your reference 'ADEEDITDATA' command will show any

attached table data. How it is working?
