Using Location in Feature Properties to mapiinsert

Hi. I'm a Civil 3D user usually, so I'm treading deep water here. I think what I want to do might be simple, but it is beyond me at the moment.

I have many .shp files that are dataconnected into my template. These .shp files show the extent of as many geotiff aerial photos. The location of the actual photos can be seen in the Locations field under Feature Properties in the Properties palette.

The names for the aerial photos are long and it is a pain to hover over that field so the name expands, write down a big reference number used in the name, and then have to navigate to the right folder and file once I envoke mapiinsert.

I'd like to be able to launch a command, pick one of these .shp entities, and have it mapiinsert the related geotiff. But I can't find how to "get" the data that is in that Location field.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Use the data table and select the area/boundry then just copy/paste the field value.

Thanks! That works. Good call.

Not as sexy as a button, but it'll do.
