Unknown command "ORACONNECT",help...

hi,all
I'm a newbie for MAP5,and
when I try to connect to spatial,the above error display.
what's the matter,and how to overcome it,please?
what's the detailed step for spatial accessing from MAP5,please?
win2k,oracle8.1.6 server & oracle8.1.6 Client,MAP5

Tang,

The usual cause of the unknown command 'ORACONNECT'
is because the Oracle Client hasn't been installed on the machine where Autodesk
Map 5 resides.

The system requirements are detailed in the
Autodesk Map 5 Readme. Go to Installation>System requirements for a detailed
list of what is required.

I have set my system acccording to the requirement completely,but the problem is still. and
I could connect & access the same spatial from mapguide with oracle extension for o8i spatial,it works well.
by the way,my MAP5 is trial version,is there any problem with it,please?

From memory the Oracle extension for Map 5 is a
separate element in the install process - I did a custom install so I don't know
if it's in the standard or trial versions - anyone who knows better please feel
free to contradict me.

Tang,

did you install the Oracle OLE for Objects patch? This is needed on top
of the Oracle Client installation to connect from Map to Oracle Spatial.
