trimming with boundaries

I am trying to find a way to trim around a couple boundary areas in a drawing. I cannot use xrefs with xclip, for security reasons I cannot send the xref or areas outside of the boundaries. Is there an easy way to trim and erase all objects outside of a boundary. I also tried map-tools-boundary trim but that still left the water mains throughout the city, which would be a pain to clip all those individually.

Trim outside the boundary still left polylines (watere mains) untrimmed? Are they on their own layer and the layer is not locked.

Attach and query by location doesn't do what you need?

Yes, it deleted all text and most other information outside of the boundary area but it still left what appears to be all of the water mains. They are a mix of polylines and lines. They are all on their own layer and none of the layers are locked.

Deleting the outside lines should not be that time consuming if you use a fence selection for deletion.
