To copy Style rules to a different Shapefile

Hi all,

I am asking how to copy a style to a different Shapefile.

I created a complex style for a shapefile, connected with FDO.

Thematic rules, labels and so on.

Now, I want to use the same style for an other Shapefile, that has the same structure.

If I save a .layer, this contains also the connection to the original Shapefile.

How can i do it?

the .layer file is in xml - you might "play" with either notepad or "XML Notepad" to edit and find/replace the connection name and pathing directly using either editor.
