Symbols from raster images blocks

Hi!

I have block file. Some of blocks are drawing objects and some blocks are small raster images. I have point layer, and I have connected to that layer through display manger. Then I try to edit layer syle, trying to apply symbols from block file. Every simblo is visible, except those raster picture symbols. I can see symbol name in library but symbol is not displayed on layer.

thanx

What problem? You replied to a thread from 2005 and a lot has changed
between those 5 years.
Can you provide more info and what it is you are trying to do? Along with
the version of Map3D you are using?

Hi Murph,
thanks for your answer
but What problem?
the problem is exactly the same of enter-st, despite all changes from 2008 or 2005 (?)
my blocks contain small bmp images and like enter-st said
"Then I try to edit layer syle, trying to apply symbols from block file. Every simblo is visible, except those raster picture symbols".
I use Map3d 2009

Andrea,
Those that use newsreaders for the discussion groups do not see the original
thread from years ago, so that's why I asked what problem. Are you trying to
style the points from a data connect layer or standard AutoCAD objects?

There's no easy way of doing it. What you need to do is convert the block to
a image file (pgn format) then used the enhanced stylization options.
This will give you an idea on what is involved.

This may of be of some help also for the point style.

I haven't try it for points.

mmmh!
nothing to do!
I insert a block width image on C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Map 3D 2009\Sample\db_samp.dwg file
and I wrote two xml files (the difference is only the name of block in blockname tag)
the fisrt work width this point style with an graphic block:

false
false

Centimeters
DeviceUnits
0.3
0.3
0.0
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Map 3D 2009\Sample\db_samp.dwg
CHAIR7
FFC69C6D
FF726358

the second does not work width this point style with an image block:

false
false

Centimeters
DeviceUnits
0.3
0.3
0.0
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Map 3D 2009\Sample\db_samp.dwg
person
FFC69C6D
FF726358

in the enhanced stylization options and the document that you've suggested (building_symbol_libraries_with_autodesk_mapguide_enterprise_2009.pdf) I have not found solution.
But a specific reference could be reading this sentence:
The image itself may either be specified in the Content element as base 64 encoded PNG.
I will try tomorrow with a similar image
regards
andrea
