switch between viewports

Good afternoon all.
I have a layout that I've got more than one viewport on. I cannot switch between viewports. This was easy in AuotCAD 2000, 2002, and 2004. I could have 4 or 5 viewports, for my mechanical drawings, to do details, but now, with Map3D, 2009, I can't do it.

I have tried the MAXACTVP, and it was defaulted to 64. I changed it to 15 just to see if it'd allow me to switch, and it did not.

I then tried MView, and it was in Fit setting. I switched to On, and it still did not let me do a dynamic switch.

I can't find anything that specifically deals with this issue on any of the forums, discussions, etc.....

have one viewport active, and then ctrl+r and it'll toggle between then
