Some Questions

I understand there are various software interpretations of Geotiff.

What file structure(s)/format does ACAD Map expect for reliable automtic reading of Geotiff orthophoto images?

For example does ACAD MAP support
i) External TFW geocoordinate files?
ii)Goecoordinate data embedded into the Tiff header?
iii)Other modes?

Thanks for any input,

Erin

Ekaraim,
It supports both World files and tiff header information. As for other
modes, I'm not familiar with any others, so I haven't noticed. If your
talking about compression modes, it will use LZW, uncompressed and zip
encoding.

Strictly speaking only ii is GeoTIFF. However, the term has been used
loosely to refer to i and sometimes others. As far as Map goes as
FloridaDrafter says, i and ii are recognized as well as georeferencing
information in TIFF files written out by CAD Overlay GSX.
