I am having issues with a particular thing I use daily. When I switched over from AutoCAD 2010 to AutoCAD Map 2014 is when I experienced this issue.
When I hold down the SHIFT key it will toggle ORTHO mode on or off. It has always done this but the issue is that now when I hold down the SHIFT key it will not actually allow me to draw a line when I left click. For Example:
ORTHO mode is off
I type command in to draw a polyline.
I hold down the shift key because I want to draw a straight line
It toggles the ORTHO mode on
I then left click to draw the line but it doesnt draw the line.
This has just always been a shortcut for me instead of actually turning the ortho mode on or off. How can I fix this?
This is normally defined in the menu as a temporary override, as shown below. I wonder if your menu has been damaged and this is missing?
Have you looked in your CUI to see if this is present and enabled?
