SDW coordinates different from MAPIINSERT

What algorithm is used for command MAPIINSERT?

For some reason the insert coordinate used in the dialog box is different from one in the SDW file.

See attached image.

Thanks.

The only reason is simple, sir: the geo-header embedded within the .SID file "wins" over the external worldfile.

So, if i delete the SDW file, the Map will insert SID anyway to the known coordinate?

That's it, as long as the .SID file embeds a geo-header.

I advise you to rename the .SDW file, then perform the _MAPIINSERT routine.

You are right. I deleted SDW and open the SID in ArcCataloge. It has all proper coordinates.

Thanks
