rotation expression in annotation template

I've created an annotation template for centerlines and am attempting to have the anno rotate to the angle of the line (polyline). I'm having no luck!!!

I've tried identifying .ANGLE in the rotation entry, but all annotation displays at 0 degrees. Any suggestions on what to enter?

From reading some of the other entries, it seems that this type of expression is referred to as dynamic expressions. Any suggestions where I can learn more about dynamic expressions?

Thanks for the help.

Jason

Hi Jason,

This should work OK. Normally the only problem that
you will have is that ifthe polyline has more than a start point and an end
point, the annotation will appear at the centroid oof the polyline rather than
along one of the segments. Try with a simple pline with a single segment and see
if it works. .ANGLE should do the trick.

Do yoou get a message saying 'xx Annotation
Obkjects Created' after running Insert Annotation?

Good luck,

David

Thanks David. The angle is working now and I see your point about anno displaying along a like from start to end point. Is there a way to get around this quirk?

Thanks for your help.

Jason
