I am using two ESRI shapefiles, one point and one line, in a utility drawing. I need to rotate the point symbols to align with the lines (gatevalves for example). Has anyone developed an expression that will automate this. I believe I can rotate using a field in the table, but need to fill the field using ??? I am not really sure if this is the way to go, but would appreciate any help.
