Problem Installing PLEASE help

I have installed, registered, and run autocad archtictecture 10 64 bit no problem. But after i downloaded Map 3d and went to install it popped up with "Internal error 2324.2, c:\windows\system32\AcSigNext.dll", then when u click ok it says"Fatal error during installation, #118 : failed to run adskexecutesequence." then click ok and it says"failed to initialize autocad mad3d 2010" then click ok and it closes. Ive tried both the 32 and 64 bit versions and tried them both several times restarted the computer and tried again and all that. My system is intel quad core with 8gb ddr3 i figure this would be enough to run it but im not sure. I've never used map 3d just thought it looked interesting, id like to get it running to mess with it. Any help getting this error resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Map 2010 is not officially supported on Windows 7 OS. It will however be supported on Map 2011.

Please refer to the system requirements documentation here. In addition, here is a link to another user forum with some suggestions.

And lastly, there is a wealthy of new support content up on Autodesk.com for Install and licensing help, feature help and more. Check it out here.

Thank's katie, that was the response I got from my support ticket. I tried one of the suggested fixes from the users group
I renamed the 3 ac... files to .old and also had to do the acsignopt.exe and the install worked and ACA does not seem to be affected. Looking forward to 2011 versions of both ACA and Map

Hello david,

Have you checked compatibility?
Just an FYI for you.

It is always best to check with the software manufacturer FIRST. They will tell you if they have tested the product and the version, as well as whether or not it will work with Windows 7.
Check out the Windows 7 Compatibility site: (There you will find out about hardware and software compatibilty.)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/en-us/default.aspx
There is a pulldown from which you can choose "hardware" and "software".

There are also some great articles, instructional videos and such to help with your Windows 7 at our Springboard site:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/default.aspx

In any event a lot of the times, Vista drivers will work in lieu of Windows 7 drivers, however, it's not 100%!

As stated previously, it's best to have the Windows 7 certified drivers installed.
Thanks again,
John M.

I ran the win 7 compatibility program in XP before buying win 7 and no issues came up with either ACA or MAP, there was an issue with an older design review I have loaded.

After making those fixes that I stated, they are both working fine. ADESK support says win 7 will be supported in 2011 wich is due out within the next month, so I hear.

There are more details in the Install & Licensing forum (http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=768028&tstart=0 )

But here is the same info:
Many Autodesk 2011 products are being made available over the course of the next weeks. Once a product releases, Subscription customers who are in the role of Software Coordinator receive an email as soon as their serial number has been upgraded.
The email is sent from Download@autodesksubscription.com and this contains their serial number and product key needed for installation.
Be sure to check your junk/spam folder (sometimes they end up there).

Currently AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT and Inventor (and now Map)have released and customer's are being upgraded and should receive their email within the next 24hrs.

Customers who are experiencing problems with their subscription upgrade can contact the business center at
subscription-team@autodesk.com
