Please help someone new with MAP

Can you create a SHP file with MAP. I know that you can read and access SHP files and tables, but can you create a SHP file?

Thanks Bryan

Look at the Map Export command.
Depending on what workspace you are in as to where it is on the menus. (and
what version you are using)

Are you wanting to create new features and add them to a existing shp file
or take existing AutoCAD objects and create a new shp file.

Bryan,

using Map 2007 or Map Map 2008, you can create new (empty) Shape Files, using the FDO Technology. You can create a new "schema" which defines the kind of geometry for the shape file (point, line, polygon) and the attributes. Afterwards you can start digitizing new features,

Regards, Robert
