osnap pick prioritizing.

morning all.

In selecting a point in a drawing to connect new poly lines to existing objects, is there a way to set the order to which osnap elements are used?

I have perhaps 1/2 of the osnap element settings activated. End point, Mid point, Node, Intersection, etc......

When I go to select, it's like everything EXCEPT End Point is recognizing. And while I can go to right click, and select end point, I am now wondering, if besides the rt click, there is a way to preset the priority, or order in which the osnap elements recognize the type.

Without restting the settings each time.

TGIF.

I hope this is clear. If not, please let me know.

TYIA.

I suppose you have dynamic input enabled - try turning it off from the buttons on the bottom of the screen

well.... yea...... of course I do. I have to get used to all this new-fangled stuff at some point..... Smiley Tongue

Ok, did the f12 and as the old song goes-- I can see clearly now that the .... is gone.

Fat tire, eh...... Boring....Smiley Indifferent.. Seems he needs to spend a day in the Dana Point harbor, at their brewery.... that's if they're still around. The brewery, not the harbor. Then again, perhaps one of the breweries up at Lake Tahoe would work too.

Guys... thank you.

I'll try to remember the cycling thing. So much to remember, and so little storage remains.....

Don't know if you're still looking for ways to force the OSNAP, but have you checked under the "Temporary Override Keys"?  Under the CUI interface there is an option for setting keys that temporarily override the normal settings, and a number of them (at least on my version) are pre-set for object snap overrides.  I'd never used them before, but they seem to work.  For example, if I start drawing a PLINE, then hold down SHIFT+E (my override for OSNAP to Endpoint), whenever I move the cursor over another line it snaps to one of the endpoints.
