offset command prompt question

So this morning I'm working away (in Map 2004),
entering commands through the CLI. While in the offset command I made a mistake
(I still find that part hard to believe <g>), instead of cancelling the
command or hitting enter to follow through and do an undo, I typed U while still
in the Offset command.

I then glanced at the command line and noticed
the prompt  "Expects a point or CLass".

Specify offset distance or [Through]
<0.0312>: .375
Select object to offset or <exit>:
Specify
point on side to offset:
Select object to offset or <exit>:
u

*Invalid selection*
Expects a point
or CLass

size=2>

I'm feeling a bit dumb here.  I've never
noticed this before. What CLass are we referring to here? "Remedial AutoCAD
Command Basics 101"?

Cheers!

Volker,

it's not you being dumb 🙂 There are no classes
in AutoCAD.

I can reproduce and it's also happening in
plain AutoCAD. To me it looks that by mistake an error message related to
Map functionality (Classifications) was implemented here. However, the
command works properly, just the message might be confusing.

Thanks for the feedback, Marion. I'm glad I
mentioned it.  🙂
