Map Plot Transparency and Fonts?

I would like to create a PDF or DWF from AutoCAD Map with 'mapplottransparency' set to On. It seems like all fonts are rasterized when mapplottransparency is set On.

Is this really the case? Or is there a way to preserve the true type fonts in the PDF or DWF?

Thanks,

With Mapplottransparency on the map is all turned to a raster image. What
you might try is plot without the text then plot again just the text and any
solid lines you want then merge the two pdf into one with Adobe.
If the text are labels from feature data you know that if you plot to dwf
with map objects the value of the field used to label from is searchable.

Hi Murph,

Thanks for the quick response and the tip. I made two PDFs as suggested. Then using Adobe Acrobat Professional I was able to add one PDF as a 'Background' to the other PDF.
