Map 6 Data Links Directory

I have all of my UDL files stored on a shared network drive so all of my users can access them. I have changed the 'Data Sources Location' path in 'options' to point to this directory. My startup folder when I execute Map is c:\drawings. When I attach a database from one of the UDLs, everything works fine except when I shell out, I am no longer working in c:\drawings, but the directory on the shared drive where my UDL files are located. This is VERY ANNOYING. Is this a bug?
