Map 6 and Oracle 9i (client configuration)

Hi everyone,
I installed Oracle 9i (release 1), oracle client 9i, and acadmap 6, too. But
acadmap 6 doesn't work the oracle command, do you know if there any idea
about the configuration of the oracle client to connect fine?

I didn't have any problems doing it. Where exactly does the problem arise ?

Hi SIS,
I have a server Microsoft NT, here installed Oracle server 9i (release 1)
and acadmap 6. it's working fine, but i need to run in another PC the
Acadmap6 (network).
I've installed the oracle cliente 9i and acadmap6, i tested the connection
from the oracle cliente to the server. Buty when i run Acadmap6
(MAPOSECONNECT command), shows up the next message:

Command: _MAPOSECONNECT
C:\Archivos de programa\Autodesk Map 6\AdMapOrclUI.arx cannot find a dll or
other file that it needs.
Unknown command "MAPOSECONNECT". Press F1 for help.

I've tried and tested mny client once again, but the result is the same.

Please do you know if there's any special configuration in Oracle Client? or
is Acadmap problem?
Is there some steps that i must follow (server or client)?

Hello Ivan,
The error your receiving is due to Map not detecting your Oracle client
and/or service. Please see solution
http://support.autodesk.com/getdoc.asp?id=TS75140
You say you have a connection between the Oracle Client and the Server. I'd
try creating another connection between the Oracel client and server and
then try maposeconnect again.
