? map 5 - land desktop 3 i'me a llitle confused.

ok if i launch land desktop 3 with desktop icon, i can have a map drop down
menu and its associated functions. the upper left hand corner of the screen
reads "Autodesk Land Desktop [project: project name] [file name]

if i launch Land Enabled Map 5 with the desktop icon, i do not have ready
access to project drop down menu, and who knows what else. The upper left
hand corner of the screen reads "Autodesk Map - [file name]

are we back to having to actually manually load map when in ld3?
are functions of map not available when using the map drop down while in
ld3?

are there any scenarios to wit i would want to launch vanilla Map 5?
does the lack of project, as is not available in the vanilla Map 5, and lack
of traditional drawing settings controls hold any benefit?
do i need to launch, or tweak some kind of profile or menu to gain autodesk
functioning while in map?
