Map 2015

Is there any inside knowledge on the release of Map 2015... namely will this be a 64 bit only release?

Also, I assume 2015 will not work on XP?

"Can't say"?? You're not giving away company secrets here.
I'd like to know what platforms my soon to arrive Autodesk Map upgrade will run on so I make sure I order appropriate machines to run the product.
At this point in the development process I'm pretty sure this has been determined already.

Hello

Autodesk has officially announced (Microsoft ALSO for April 2014 : no update, no patch, no support, etc) the "END" (of Support) for Win XP ...

So it's not top-secret that the 2015 versions will not support Win XP Pro ...

Please remind that Win XP Pro began in about 2001, it is/was the longest supported OS from Microsoft !

Thanks.  I did hear about the end of XP support.

I know the Civil product went to 64 bit only last year, so I am wondering if Map will be 64 bit only this year, or if a 32 bit version will still be available.

Hello

1) Please remind that Autodesk has stopped with 2014 the 32 bits versions of : CIVIL, 3DS Max, AIW (Ex AIM)

2) My opinion / wish for 2015 versions : please stop 32 bits software with MAP, Architectural, MEP, etc

and keep 32 bits versions ONLY for ACAD and ACAD LT ...

3) BUT the customers are the Kings and so many people are always running Win Seven 32 bits ...

4) MAP 2014 32 bits has a special FDO driver : ARCGis

which is not present (if I remember well) with the 64 bits version of MAP 2014 ...

So I bet for a 32 bits version of MAP 2015 but not sure at all !?

if this is the case Autodesk will probably still make a 32 bit version of Map 3d

i guess we will wait & see when they release it

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.  AutoCAD Map 3D 2015 will be released in both 32-bit and 64-bit.  And you are correct that Windows XP will not be supported for the 2015 release.  Thanks,
