Map 2012

When I open map 2012 the 2d drafting workspace comes up.  How can I get it to open into the map classic workspace.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi,

in the bottom status-line of the application you have an icon (looking like a toothed wheel) and there you can choose the workspace you want to load, a workspace for Map-Classic should be included.

Other chance would be to start the command _WORKSPACE.

BTW: within the classic workspace you do NOT have all commands available in your Map3D!

Thanks for the reply.  I set the map classic workspace with no problem, but when I open cad it's back to the 2d drafting workspace.  I haven't had this problem in the past.  When I finish this current project I'll have to change my ways.Smiley Sad

Hi,

Have a look into the start-icon-properties. You can give the name of the workspace as a startparameter for AutoCAD. Take a look >>>here<<< about the startparameters ("/W" is what you will look for).

Alfred has the right idea.  http://gisexchange.typepad.com/blog/2011/05/map-2012-default-workspaces.html might help a little also.
