When you specify the text height in the table style it's misleading, that is
the height of the cells. The cells are locked because you are linking to the
excel file.

I am trying to set up a portion of an excel file within AutoCAD Map 3D 2008
via a data link using the Insert Table function (new to AutoCAD). I have
gone through the Table Style Dialogs and modified those for the wanted text
style and size, etc. Yet when I insert the table, the text (and table) do
not come in with the desired 2.5 text size but at a significantly smaller
size (0.0972)? Scaling the whole table or pulling it about does not change
the text size. Why is it not using the stated 2.5?
All items are also locked when it is inserted? Is there a setting to make
unlocked the default?
It appears that as it currently is working that in order to get the desired
results, i would have to individually unlock every cell (over 1000 thus not
time efficient) and change the text size followed by resizing each column?
(Inserting the old copy and paste method after every change would be
quicker.)
Everything seems to be working with the exception that it is inserting at
wrong size! Is there a setting or procedure that I need to change, does it
not work as I am attempting to use it, what do I need to do to make it work
accordingly?
