Monika -

Take a look at the Lisp/Customization newsgroup. There are a lot
of helpful resources there including book references and web
sites.

The Customization/Lisp newsgroup can be found at the NNTP site
news://discussion.autodesk.com/autodesk.autocad.customization if
using a newsgroup reader.

You may also access the Customization discussion group via the
HTTP web-based forums at

Thanks Anne

Actually am interested in customising the visual interface of Acadmap. What
does it require? How do i get started? Is Visual LISP different from LISP?
Info or any leads regarding this will be very helpful.

Monika, I am interested in automating the production of topologies in Autocadmap, if it is possible. I write lisp code, and visit the discussion group Anne mentioned above. I will ask them, and try to pass on anything useful I can find early next week.

Here is some feedback I got regarding the automation of topology functions from an someone I can probably talk some more with. It seems promising regarding the more general issue of using LISP to drive Map.

It is possible using LISP. Look for the tpm_ functions.
If you mean VBA, I'm not so sure. I believe the VBA Api (MAP 5) does not include topolgy. Only Drawing sets, Queries and Object Data. Take a look at the helpfiles, AcMapAtm.chm for VBA and AcMapAds.chm for Visual LISP.
regards,
