label advanced placement not working

Trying to limit labels using advanced placement.  Display shows correctly but, text does not show on plots (hard copy, dwf, pdf, etc)  Any ideas?

What version of Map are you using?

 

It is a known issue that will never be fixed in older versions of Map. I have had good luck with it in 2011.

Using 2009

I've gathered as much from other posts.  I increased my sheet to D-size from 8x11 and found advanced placement works better but, not 100%.

 

Well thanks for your reply - guess I'll just use ArcInfo.
