Invalid feature schema element name

I am working with shp files from a county mapping office. 

I have no trouble bringing in all the shp's I need (over 30) except for two. 

When I check the data connect dialog I see the following message "invalid feature schema element name".

Thoughts?

Hi,

for me the message means that there is a fieldname (column in DBF) that has a dot in the fieldname.

If you have a change to modify the struction then rename that field.
