Hi All, has anyone come across this installed 32bit AutoCAD Map 3D 2013?
My install fails at the AML 2013 - Low Rez and I can't install Map at all.
I don't think there is an option to no install the Material Library...
Here is my log file from a few minutes ago...

I wish it were that easy!
I tried installing that library manually:
C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_Map_3D_2013_English_Win_32bit\Content\ADSKMaterials\2013\ILB\BaseImageLibrary2013.msi
But it still Fails:
I wish I could tell AutoCAD Map 3D 2013 not to install this component when installing and I would be golden.
More details: this is where the install of the Materials fails:

Hi,
1603 has sometimes to do with Framework (so install Framework 4 before starting AutoCAD-installation) or with access-rights, so install AutoCAD with another user-account that has full local admin-rights and UAC is switched off and the SETUP.EXE is started with the right-mouse-button ==> "Start as Administrator".
Also verify what processes and services are currently running during installation, e.g. Antivirus-software (as already mention) or some defender or a backup-process ... disable all that is not necessary for the OS and for the installation.
Good luck, - alfred -
Thanks for the tips:
It truely is the this MSI that is the issue.
BaseImageLibrary2013.msi
(C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_Map_3D_2013_English_Win_32bit\Content\ADSKMaterials\2013\ILB\)
I wonder if this MSI is corrupted on the install DVD/Download...
ok, since the Low Rez MSI was the issue, I hacked the Setup.ini found in this folder:
C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_Map_3D_2013_English_Win_32bit/
I found the [CMILB2013] section that refers to the Low Res Materials around line 303
Commented out everything with Pounds # beneath the [CMILB2013]
I copy and pasted the [CM2013] stuff because Map 3D 2013 won't install without the [CMILB2013]
which effectively installed the high-rez MaterialLibrary2013.msi twice
Ugly, but at least I got past the corrupted Low Rez Materials MSI.
