importing polypolygons to AcadMap

While importing polypolygons to AutoCAD from SHP files or SDF files each
"internal" polygon is imported twice: once with the internal region object
data and the other one with the external region objet data.

It is impossible to create topology on the imported data due to these
duplications.

I would like to know how could I prevent these duplications.

Was hoping you wouId get a responce on this so I could find out the answer
also. Don't know which Map version you are running but I was having trouble
with the double polygons using Map4.5 making it imposible to create a
topology with confidence in the data. Map 4.5 doesn't seem to import any
centroids in the polygons until you use the Mapcreatecentroids command which
end up making double centroids where the double polygons are. Map 4 still
had the double polygons but there was a single centroid imported within the
polygons with the correct data attached that made the topology creation
possible. I still haven't figured out how to avoid this problem in Map 4.5
import but by using the old Map 4 command "Mapimport4" it at least ends up
with a single centroid that has the correct info attached. You have to clean
using "break intersections" then "delete duplicates" then " disolve pseudo
nodes". Hope that helps. Let me know if you ever learn how to avoid the
double polygons.
