Importing GPS data

I would like to import waypoints and routes from my Garmin GPS into an existing drawing that has a coordinate system based on GPS coordinates. I would like to show approximate locations of roads and trails without sending out a survey crew. Surely someone has done this...

Thanks!

Do you have Land Desktop?

You should look at Autodesk's Field Survey product or possibly Autodesk MAP

Field Survey: http://tinyurl.com/asd3
Map 2004: http://tinyurl.com/asd8

There are utilities that can convert your GPS
collector data to Autocad DXF files along with other formats. Here is one that
we are using: GPS Utility can be found at
href="http://www.gpsu.co.uk">http://www.gpsu.co.uk
. It will up and download
data from your collector and he is distributing it as freeware.
