image projection software recommendation

I'm looking to re-project a bunch of doqq's, can anybody recommend any software? Right now we have to create a new dwg import the image save it, open dwg we want the image in then query the previous dwg for the image. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! If we had the doqq's in the same coord system as the project it would save a LOT of time.

Thanks
Mark

CAD Overlay (used with AutoCAD Map) will allow you to translate the DOQQs to
another coordinate system as you insert them.

Really! I was not aware of that. So if I have a dwg that is in state plane and doqq is utm meters I can bring it in without creating another dwg? How about multiple doqq's same thing?

Thanks

Looks like you need to insert them one at a time in order to use the
correlation wizard or correlation dialog box. When I tried to insert
multiple DOQQs at the same time it bypassed the correlation step.

That's not a big problem for me, I normally don't use more than 4 at one time. One more question and I promise I'll shutup the rest of the day! Can CAD Overlay save the image that has been re-projected?

Thank you very much Jim.

From the CAD Overlay help file....

When you export an image, you can select a new file format. Depending on the
file format you select, you can save the correlation information to a
resource file, a world file, or to the image file. When you export most
image types, the Export Options dialog box presents the following options:

- Maintain Drawing Link to Image replaces the current image definition in
your drawing with the new image definition.
- Burn in Rotation saves the current rotation with the image. The resulting
image will appear to be rotated, but will have a rotation value of 0.
- Write Correlation saves the correlation information as either a resource
file or a world file. Normally, these files are saved to the same location
as the image file. However, you can control this path on the Paths tab of
the CAD Overlay options dialog box.
