How do I add to an external database without overwriting the existing tables?

I have setup the external database and can write to it, however when I insret new object data the old data is removed and overwritten.
Can I append to an external database without overwiting whats already there?

Also, I have a problem selecting entities in mny drawing.
I select one and when I select another, the previous selection is no longer valid.
Any help will be appreciated?

Hi,

when you want to select multiple entities, hold down the CTRL button on
your keyboard as you select the entities.

If you're still having problems updating your database, please post your
files to the Autodesk.acad.customer-files group and provide a detailed
list steps of that you are trying to do and I'll take a look.

Append the records in the Dataview.
