Help with Map Book Templates

I am trying to set up a map book template that is a custom size.  When i scale everything, the variables that are used to show the current page, surrounding pages, and the scale.  I was wondering what I could do to get the custom sized template to work just like the standard templates do.  I am trying to make a page size of 27x36 from a 22x34 template size.  I am wondering if moving the arrows and title block messes up the references but i cannot find out how to fix it after they are moved around.

Do a saveas on the template renaming it then moved the arrow and scale blocks as you need. This way you still have the orginal dwt to fall back on if you do ness them up. As for moving them I haven't seen the links/referance get broken on any I have done.
