HELP!!!! Export to PDF

Help please! I have been exporting my layout to a pdf and when I open on one computer it is fine, but when I open the pdf on another computer features are missing and I get an error message from adobe "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct this problem"

 I have restarted the computers, renamed the file. I have no idea what to do now. All comments are welcome

That sounds like the problem is not the file itself ... or are you running different versions of whatever software you tried to show the PDF? (or even different applications, one time Adobe Reader, the other time Adobe Acrobat?)
