Hatch

When I hatch a closed polyline that has an excepcionally large number of points, by the option "sorting element", the solit filling color do not fill all the space. How can I solve it?

Maybe the border is twisting somewhere, señor.

  1. do a topology of it (command _MAPTOPOCREATE)
  2. export only the topology to SHP format (command _MAPEXPORT)
  3. reimport it (command _MAPIMPORT)
  4. finally try to hatch the topological shape

Hello

Could you give us a copy (with WBLOCK) of your special PLine ?

Have you tried _MAPPOLYLINETOPOLYGON and then _MAPMPEDIT, to create the island ?

Thanks. The problem was not solved (see in image that the closed polyline was not correctly filled by the hatch color). I think that this a specif problem of the Autocad software that is not able to work with polylines with bigger number of points. Think that others softwares, like Microstation don't have this problem. What do you think about this?

Thanks,

Edison

Exactly what is the kind of polylines filled incorrectly?

I suppose you mean the area inside the red oval.

But it is not closed, it's imposible to fill it anyway, while you didn't create a closed polyline. It' s not a problem of a software.

Please, look to attached pictures. 🙂

Also there are two topological errors at the small red polyline. Use _mapclean to correct topology.

Dear Olga,

Thanks. I do it, but the error remaind (see the figures). I need fix it to conclude a big map. Could you resolve this problem for me?

Thanks,

Nice 🙂 looks like funny. I thought it was my graphics card glitch, but I was wrong

Could you convert this polylines to SDF, using option "Treat closed polylines as poligons"  and create Data connection by FDO provider.

Thanks,

Edison
