GPS photo points showing direction

am importing GPS Photo points into a drawing (which I can do) but now i need to show the direction the photo was taken by symbolizing each point. The direction value is both in cardinal direction (N,E,S,W, etc..) and numeric (0,90,180,270,etc...)

How are you bringing the points in and what version?

If using ODBC data connect you can set a style based on the direction
values, if the points are standard autocad points with data attached (object
data) then you can create a sybmbol layer and set the symbol (a block) based
on the data.

I am using the Points/import command in Civil 3D 2008. I wasn't sure which group to ask, it's one of those that could go either way i guess.
Your reply has got me thinking, I should be able to set a style in C3D for each point based on direction, probably no need to create a block(?)

If you are using the C3D points import then you need to use a C3D point
style/lable style. Map3D can not use C3D points unless you convert them from
C3D to standard autoCAD points.

Hi! We have an extension for doing that. Have a look at it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrsJs8c7t9U. It can be used with Civil an Map and is called GeoPhotExtension an will be soon available at autodesk app exchange. Best regards, Frederic
