Greetings
I have a 4 licenses of Map5 . The Licenses have been installed for the past year and worked properly ever since
Few days ago it just stopped giving licenses to the clients
The FlexLM license is on the Server Win 2000, all clients are on Win Pro 2000 and have been installed from the Client Image of the server
The problem is the client cannot find the license even though the networking can see the server and the FlexLM directory It does this it asks for :
FlexLM License finder : I enter the name of the license server
And then it looks for it then it gives me the following:
FlexLM License manager !! Server ("hostname") did not respond within 5 seconds, this server may not exist, or communication are not possible at this time, see your administrator for assistance.
When I put cancel it gives me the following :
Autodesk Map 5 : The network license manger was not able to get a valid license. If this problem continues please contact your system admin
error (12200,5,-96)
One PC client on the same network is working whereas on the other clients are not. I tried to reinstall from the image once more but it did not function.
There is a communication problem, but what?//
I asked the client if they changed anything , they responded negatively
The FlexLM license manager reads the license OK
Today When I enter the client it first of all gives amessage as such:
Failed to update the system . Please try using RegEdit
Then it gives me the famous message
Specify license server / Specify the license file
And it searches with no result
When I cancel the dialoge box
It gives an error
1200,5,-96
