Flatten objects problems

I'm wokring in Map 3D '08. We have a file in which was set up in correctly. Many of the objects have the wrong z value. I've tried setting all of the objects to have a z value of 0, but for some reason, they're all staying in the same place. The objects that I'm trying to move include everything: text, line segments, polylines, blocks etc.

Does anyone know an easy way around this? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

make a backup copy

query the objects into a new drawing using the alter properties options

Are you using the "Flatten" command?
